Sorry missed your first post.

Yea, there's a good area to ride right next to Deepwater, MO. Most people call it Deepwater. ;) Actual name is Cooper Creek ATV Area. It is an old strip mine maintained by the US Army Corp of Engineers.

Coming from Clinton, MO. You'll head South on 13. Cross 2 bridges, then hang a left at the intersection. (Right goes toward the township of Deepwater).

Here's a satelite map of the riding area's location. (Circled in Blue)

Thanks, i drove there couple times but thought it was near the town and didn't find it.I also use to see mud trucks coming out of that area too but couldn't ever find info about it. Is it open to the public and do they require flags on your atv?

Open to the public 7 days a week. no fees. no flags required. They wouldn't last anyway.

Do NOT ride the ATV's on the gravel roads.. trust me.. there's always a cop around waiting for someone to do so. ;)

The West side (dust bowl, old haggard wannabe MX course) is closed down for rehab, it needed it. But no biggie, as 90% of the trail riding area is on the east side.

Id keep the illegal substances away too. The cops like to hang out and watch the riders. Most are great guys. More fun than sitting on 13hwy.. lol.

If it has rained a lot, it will most likley be flooded.. so you want to go when it's been semi-dry. Easy way is to check on Truman Lakes water level.

Thanks for all the info. Got any pics of the trails?

Too busy riding.. lol. There's several main "roads" that run through the area about 15ft wide. Most of the wooded roads are about 5ft wide in dense wooded areas. And, there's a nice wooped run where there used to be an old rail road track (probably where they shipped rock out of the mine). A few hill climbs, but nothing big.

Just lots of good technical trails.

Lots of mud and water.. so come prepared. ;)
