let me start off by saying yeah i know i dont own a banshee, but i saw a article on the new banshee of 2008 maybe, you guys can find it in aprils dirt wheels this new one is gonna be huge so they say. check it out

yeah man go check out dirt wheels, alittle more about it dual piston 4 stroke 500cc based off the yamahas R1 street bike from what i hear for now they still could change it from what there saying, and it is sapost to look more sleek... and im with you i want one!

One of the other magazines had an article on their site about the "new" Banshee, and it said almost the exact same thing as far as the supposed specs go. I'm not so sure it's an April Fools joke or not, although it does seem kind of out-there.

Most of the jokes they do in there have always been real flamboyant, and like an absolute not-gonna-happen.. remember the Goldwing-powered Honda Hippo from last year? I also couldn't find anything else that sounded joke-like, though, so it might be total BS.. I guess we won't know until Yamaha releases some info, or nothing happens to push it forward.

It is an April Fools joke, I was told Yamaha brought the 700 Rappy out to replace the Banshee. And even in 2008 Banshee's are still going to be sold in Canada and Mexico
