Can a atc axle and swingarm be used on my 86?

Just as the title states. I can get my hands on an 85 atc 250R with a blown motor (blew the piston through the jug). They said its an 85 250R but its a 4 wheeler so it may even be an 86 trx but they arent sure, its been sitting up for a while and hasnt been seen lately

No the ATC bearing carrier is smaller than the TRX. Unless you do a whole axle/carrier/rear brake setup swap, they will not work.

that is what i would do, I would just swap the full rear off the atc onto my trx. Thanks, I appreciate it!

just make sure the ATC carrier bearings are still good, and the rear brake is in decent working order...but i'm sure you've checked on that already lol

how's that build coming along?


PS: If you wanna keep the TRX stuff in the rear, I have a stock TRX swingarm for an 86. I also have a +4 ATC swingarm with fresh powdercoat. let me know
