if a 450r has new plastics and wants to trade for my 400ex something wrong?

what the titles says some guy wants to trade his 04 450r with new plastics for my 400ex do u think something is wrong here? i wanna check it out this weekend.

My friend had to get new plastic on his 400ex, its still relible, id go for it if its not stolen and rides good. DO a compresion test.

Either its just a guy that wants a 400ex rather then his 450, because he doesn't like the power, ect. or its stolen, or defective, I hope for you its that he just wants a 400, check it over good, make sure it has a title, ect. I still can't really decide if i'd take a 450 over a 400, all the 450's I rode didn't impress me with their power, all had alot of problems, hard starting, ect ect that i've never had with a 400ex. But good luck on the deal.

Then def go check it out, as stated, check the frame, motor, just check the entire quad as good as possible. make sure title is legit, and take your 450 home.

You seem to be uneasy about this so for some peace of mind i'd suggest not proceeding with this deal.

Cheak the oil, get the vin and call it into the cops, as well as the engines serial number. Make sure the back bearings are good. See how clean the filter is. Mabe even bring some oil and change it, see what comes it in it?

I would never buy a quad without either a Title or a Certificate of Origin.

Go check it out. Get the serial number of the bike and the motor. Have the PD run a check on the #'s for you. ;)
