with a new sleeve you can take a 440 back to stock or is the cylinder actually bored larger on a 440?

The stock sleeve is presses out and the cylinder is bored to accept a larger diameter sleeve.

idk...but maybe you could buy an xtra thick sleeve to bring the bore back to stock

If you really want to convert back to stock you could buy a used stock cylinder off of ebay. Once you get it you could install it with a new stock size piston and sell your 440 cylinder.

I'd guess its a reliability issue.

The 416's when built right are pretty darn reliable.

because without any other work done to the quad i feel its worthless to replace the existing 440 kit with another. And i don't race so i really could care less about additional power. a stock 400ex is perfectly ok with me.
