so im debating on wether or not to sell my 400 to get a raptor or a ds-650. i need some more power im 6'1 225, so i think i gotta move up in size, i do alot of trail riding, a small sand pit and powerlines, so do you guys think i should keep the 400 or go with a 2004-2005 raptor or keep the 400?

The ds is too big of a machine for tight trails the raptor is top heavy i would stick with the 400

I would never get a raptor and would NEVER even SIT on a DS650, they are so ugly whenever I see one I just want to PUKE!!!!

They are both top heavy and wiegh a lot more than your 400.

You could go with a 250r or a 450.

Or just mod your 400ex.

Raptors and ds's aren't good trail quads like a 250r a 400 or a 450, and are faster.

are you saying the 400 is faster than the Raptor or the other way around.

I believe that in certain aspects it is based on what i seen but i never rode a 400ex so im not sure. The raptor i rode hauled *** but it was far from stock so i dont know.

Keep the 400, Put a Nice 440 kit on it (they haul). Or sell/trade for a 250r.

Get a Trx450R and you will be set. Or just keep your 400ex and like everyone else said just dump a few bucks in it and your set.:)

Get a raptor, people are baised aganst them, 2 of my friends have them and they haul ***. Whats a little more weight matter for trail rideing? It will go through more mud then a 400ex.

how so when they have the same amount of ground clearance? same as every other sport quad.

personally, i would keep the 400. from the mods in your sig it doesnt look like it has any real power mods done to it. you can make it rip like hell. if you do decide to sell your 400, get a 450!

torque has nothing to do with going through mud or snow. the tires are spinning 80% of the time. these conditions require good traction, not torque!
