hey guys. the big thing now is race plastics but getting them to match on each side is not the easiest thing either. here is a easy way to get you plastics matching and a better looking cut.

supplys
nippers (not sure if that is what they are called)
and patience
and some sand paper

ok so now your ready to trim take your nippers and place them till edge of the plastics hits in the back and cut now go along the side of the fender when your done peel of the cut peices, and sand it down smooth with your sand paper. now you need to repeat the same process until you have the fenders the desired cut . take your time a new fender is not a cheap replacment!! this is not the fastest way of cutting/trimming but your fenders will be the same on both sides.

or you could lay it out in masking tape then look at it from the front and see if they match....just another idea

why would you use such a powerful tool for cutting plastic? use a jig saw, or grinder

a grinder would burn the plastic.
and a jig saw is the same as a saw zall.

Yeah, My friend race cut his 400ex plastics by pinstriping it even on each side until they looked even then cut them off with a jig saw, they came out really nice. I also did the same on my 250r. I really like the stock fenders on the trx450r's and I dont ever think I would shave mine. I think the trx450r's look pretty ugly when they have there fenders shaved really closed to the body or they just take them off.
