Congrats on the truck and good luck with the test. It's not that hard. I just got my license suspended for a year and i'm really pissed off about it. It's making it even harder for me to get to the track lol.

no I won't! I don't know why you said that but whatever you want to think you are entitled to your own opinion! And my dad would whoop my tail if that happened or either take it away from me, and don't call me a rich kid my grandfather and parents who work very hard got this for me!

Anyways i hope to take over my brothers old car detailing buisiness to pay for some expenses on the truck and the quad and gear and such!!!:D I am ready for the summer, i would rather work then go to school!

Nice truck.I have a 2001, limited 2x4, not 4x4 like yours unfortunately .... I love my truck tho, the engine is impressive for a 4.7 too, pulls our 26 ft boat with ease. They are also reliable, but thats a given since its a Toyota, mine just hit 90,000 miles and not one problem since I have had it, except for an O2 sensor at 75,000 miles, but thats minor.

My brother has a 2003 limited to it has about 70,000+ miles on it!! mine is not a 4x4 though, but yes toyota's are amazing trucks. My dad has one my brother has one and now I have one and my mom has a 4-runner but yeah we are a toyota family LOL

Maybe because foreign vehicles are better built, or last longer. We just have good experience with Toyota and they haven't done us wrong yet!

really what do you want everybody to buy Polaris just because there from the U.S and not because of quality? I'm glad U.S car makers are in trouble at least now they will start making some cars worth buying, even though they will just be re badged cars from their foreign divisions and most likely wont even be made in the U.S like most Toyota's. btw nice truck i like mine too, not to big not to small.

awsome choice man. i work at a toyota dealership here in mass. one of the best trucks out there right now, just make sure you keep up with the maintinence, when they suggest it they mean it. i dont know if they do it where your from but here in mass we suggest a major service every 15,000 miles which includes oil change, air filter, tire rotation, servicing the brakes, cleaning the throttle body etc etc. highly reccomend you get them done. you may not think its worth it but trust me it is when you dont have to replace things like the brakes because you didnt get them serviced when you were supposed to. if you have any questions about the truck let me know im sure i could help. good luck with it

Toyota and nissan are more american than your so called american companies. Toyota and nissan both have american plants now, and meanwhile your so called american companies are having parts made outside of the US and then just assembling them here...

Really nice truck btw. I would love to get one of the new 5.7 yotas

There is a reason most people are buying japanese cars and trucks, and its not because they are "supporting the japs".

$3500 less you can get a truck with an additional 86hp/96lb-ft. 6 speed auto, +400 lbs GVWR, +4200 lbs towing capacity, 4-wheel disk brakes, and a bajilion other fufu bonuses.

im pretty sure the foreign trucks are more expensive

fast300ex
03-19-2007, 04:50 PM
foreign trucks are pretty xpensive. the brand new tundra full size with the 5.7 will run you in the 30 thousand dollar range somewhere. as far as used the gmc and full size chevy's hold there value the most out of any full size truck line. then toyota. then i believe ford then last but not least dodge. ive been a chevy guy since my first truck when i was 16 but since ive been working on toyotas for a while now i know what they are made of and very rarely have there been any problems with the higher mileage trucks i have worked on. im thinking of getting one, there very solid vehicles. as far as ford you may think its an american car company. 89% of the parts are made overseas and they are all shipped over here and just put together. so ur american muscle is half chinese. sorry

I am from Canada and my Tacoma was built in the U.S and that dosn't bother me one bit.
It also had 111,000mi or 180,000km on it before the first brake job. Only had to do the pads on the front.
they are a dam good truck, well built, and long lasting.
mine has just roled 240,000km.

oh ya and it is for sale, not because I don't like it.
my business needs a van.

Since when does chevy and gmc hold thier value better than a toyota or nissan.. i find that hard to beleive since i had to buy my used tundra for almost as much as a new gmc cost.. the blue book also supports my claim...

and also on the thread starters response to me earlier, how does the TRD package not have 4x4, i thought thats what the TRD package was, along with better suspension amoung other things...

that trd package is just a suspension package if I am not mistaken! But I am positive it is not 4x4.
