I recently purchased a trashed basket case. I have it put together and I had it running once. Now it will not start. Far as I can tell it is a stock engine except for an edelbrock carb., which I nothing about. Compression reads 120 with throttle wide open. My spark is a very small blue color and sometimes it looks yellow. I have taken the wiring harness completly apart and checked each wire with an ohm meter. Right now it wont even attempt to fire. Have shined up all grounds. New battery.Several new plugs tried also. Forgot, it has a slip-on big gun.

Yes it is getting fuel. Should have included that.

If the engine is stock then that comp number is good. So if the carb is delivering fuel I'd zero in on that sometimes yellow spark.

That is what I thought to. So when I am cranking it over and I tap on the coil it sometimes completly quits sparking.
