I have a 250r with parts from all different years, and a 400ex that I'm bored with. Should I build the 250, or try putting that motor in the 400 frame? Would the trouble of fitting the 2 stroke in that frame be more trouble than it's worth? Thanks!

your in a 250r forum ,that is the answer your most likely to get,,
besides why would you want a slow fart box like an EX anyways,
that would be a waste of garage space

I don't care for my "slow fart box" anymore, but I love the 2 stroke. The 250 is in pretty rough shape and the 400 is in perfect shape. I was just wondering if it would be worth it to fit that motor in the 400 frame. I have a 450r for the track, and the 400 is a trail bike. I don't know what I should do with the 250r. I'm nowhere near dunes, and can only make that trip about once a year.

i agree with building the R while you ride the EX

if you have a 450r, sell the 400ex and the 250r, and buy a fresh 250r somebody has already dumped tons of money into

That might be what I end up doing. It just sucks cuz I just finished fixing the 400 up. I love the bike, but not the motor. It's boring now that I have a 450. But that 450 isn't as fun as a 250r!

Build up the 250r no dought.

The way I am I'd seel the 400 and 450, I don't like 4-strokes, no surprise, just going, on my 250, I'll hit the gas and it'll rip my arms off and wheelie at the same time without me trying to do it.

But thats just me.
