OK, so I got a new RAD carrier with the zerk on the side. My quad actually has the same one but I did not install it. When you install a NEW carrier that doesn't have grease yet, I know about greasing the dust seal lips but are you supposed to pump the zerk until you can spin the center tube by hand? It won't move right now by trying to turn it dry.

What's the proceedure for doing this?

Its usually the other way around.

I don't know about your Rad, but when I installed my LSR I pumped it full of grease until I could see it trying to squeeze out the ends around the spacer tube. Then I installed the axle. If grease fills the empty cavity then there is no place for water to get into. That's my take on it anyhow.:ermm:

ok, interesting. There's no threat of water intrusion....sand on the other hand though..

Water and dirt still gets in the carrier no matter what carrier u have. The seals and the extra grease doesn't keep all the water out.I cleaned and grease Gibson/Rpm carrier with water proof grease and replaced the 2 seals.I tore it down 4 rides later and dirt and water was in there.
