400EX thumb throttle on a 250R? Help!

HI guys,

I was wondering if you could give me some information. I have an 86 250R with a motion pro twisty throttle and thinking of going back to a thumb. My local dealer says they cant get the stock thumb assembly, and if they could, it would be over 200 bucks. thats a lot of money.

BUt, would the thumb throttle assembly off of a 400EX work on the 250R?

Any information would be greatly provided!

ive seen them on R s but cant tell what to do.i do have 5 or 6 of the stock throtles laying around pm me with an offer.

its should work all you need is an r thumb throttle cable
