Currently, I am running a paul turner race pipe, open airbox, 38mm A/S carb and vforce2 reeds. The bore is 66.5 with stock porting. With a 50 pilot, cel needle in the middle and a 170 main this quad RIPS!!!! I have beaten the hell out of my buddies 450r with full hrc kit, pipe cams open airbox...blah blah.. believe it or not. Anyway, I am switching it over to an esr 310 kit at a 73mm bore with the trx7 low-mid porting. I was just wondering where i should be at with jetting after breaking it in. Mainly I was figuring maybe a 52 pilot with a 175 main, but I have no idea if I should go back to the stock dgh, or the ddj that came with the carb or what? What do you guys suggest? I have called all the major companies and they are all over the place with suggestions. Let me know...THANKS!!!

P.S. I am really just looking for where I should be close to, and will be doing plug chops after break in. Also, I am switching from a br8es to a br9es plug...

I can tell you from much experience that 200 main jet in a 310 in N.J. is too fat! I have had many 310`s as well as 330`s, 350`s and needed higher that a 190 main even in 20 degree temps! Some feel the higher the main jet the faster it will run.... WRONG Do a plug chop and you will see a smaller main will net more power! Also 185 was the largest main ever needed in any of my 310`s.

you also risk a melt down too. i usualy always run one main fatter for additional cooling

I have ran 310`s for years as well as every other size motor on a TRX250R. My 310 screar with ZERO melt downs with 182 main jet.
