I have a friend that has a stock 2006 SE banshee with FMF SST pipes on it. The bike does not iddle and dies down if you don't give it enough throttle. He has a 220 jet on it. What jetting should he have?We are at sea level and it is 87 degrees Farenheit outside.

Maybe the slides are hitting bottom and has to turn in those idle screws in to keep it at idle. Can also adjust throttle cables!

You will need at least a 260 main jet and I would recommend you start at a 280. The 220 main jet is way too lean. Hope this helps. Bob.

I bought the Toomey perfect jet kit and it came with 270's and 280's and needles. I used the 280's and mine ran fine....it never would idle thought. They told me that at sea level it would probably need a 300 or more. The SST's are supposed to be about the same as Toomey's. The jetting should be anyway.

If it wont idle you need to up your pilot jet's to atleast a 27.5, fmf make's a jet kit that comes with 3 sets of jets and their needles, I'd recomend getting it, it make's jetting easyier in the long run because the fmf needles are about 4-5 mm longer and the design of the needle is much better then stock.

Stock mikuni carbs dont have idle screws! I would recomend drilling and taping in idle screws you can buy the kit from most places that deal with banshees. As far as jetting at sea level with those pipes 300 main jet minimum i ran a 320 main when mine was stock
