Anyone know how to get rid of the oil tank on the YFZ450 the things are dumb and heavy
anyways I was down at Lorettas this year and noticed that Cale Downen didn't have one on either of his machines, just wondering if any of you know who does this mod.

THANKS

The yfz motor only holds about 1/2 a quart of oil and the rest lives in the oil tank. But hey it's your motor.

I wouldn't do it, but Dr.D has a wet sump kit.

The oil tank is not heavy... If you worried about weight go buy a new subframe and swing arm. Eliminate the platics or run a couple laps to lose some body fat... You will blow the motor for sure without the oil sump. Less oil to circulate means more heat...

replace the sub just because it will eventually damage your frame but dont mess with the swingarm it is aluminum, aftermarket parts are much heavier.

If you do that mod You need to change your oil every 30 mins or sooner. That oil mod is made for one moto.
