06 450r Fcr

This is kind of a dumb question but will an 06 450R FCR fit on an 04 450R. I think that I heard it wouldnt because of gas tank clearances. Has anyone made this conversion? Also what about the TPS? Info much needed and will be greatly appreaciated. Thanks Zach

I just did the conversion on my 04. I used an 07 CRF carb with the 07 TRX airbox and boot. It was pretty straight forward. The only problem I had was my hotstart cable is short for the CRF carb. The airbox alignment wasen't perfect but I made it work. I took the TPS wiring off of my stock carb and spliced it in to the CRF carb.

I think the TRX FCR carb is bigger than the one I used. The TRX carb is also a 40mm and the CRF is a 41. I can help you out if you have any questions.
