My axle has a little play in it. Do I need a new carrier or just bearings? Were is a good place to get either of these?

Also whats the advantage of after market carrier?

Thanks

Are you sure its the axle? Maybe something else like the hubs or the rims or lock nut or maybe even the axle;)

I dont feel it when I ride it. The only reason I know is because when I have it on a stand and I wiggle the axle around I can feel some play.

is the carrier tight? is the lock nut tight? if so then pull it apart and check out the bearings. if the whole carrier is shot go with a R.A.D. tapered axle carrier i love mine

Its very little give at all. Is that a big deal? I should probably pull it apart and at least grease it anyway.

Definitely do what Exrider02 said. I had my bike apart because I just had gotten it (used), so I replaced them.

I bought All Balls, and most people seem to think they're better than the stockers. My $.02

i have a lonestar carrier. I just rebuilt it becuase my friend did not keep up with greasing it. I recommend lonestar.
