Long travel a arms for 16 inch shocks? It doesnt make sense. Long travel a arms means they are a arms made for long travel shocks, 19 inch shocks

As far as I know Laeger only makes Standard Travel Arms unless you go to the T-Pin which I don`t think is made for a 400.

Hey Warrior Man,I remember someone telling me that the 400ex a-arms and all fit C-dales...well if thats true,Cory Ellis runs a T-pin front end,and if it will fit a 400ex,then wtf is goin on???

Also, you can prolly just buy the T-pin front end (spindles, ball joints, and etc) and then just put them on your Houser a-arms???lol it'llbe a Houeger's Front End.....

a stock shock is 16 inches but real long travel is considered 19 inch shocks right houser may get a tiny bit more but no long travel its just marketing

Houser *marketin* hehe..........Right you are, the +2's with a 19" shock however, are better than a +2 with a 16" shock, but dont even come close to a no ball joint +3 bind free 19" shock setup.

hey bubs. are you makeing fun of houser's setup. Last time i checked houser and hermman both use 19 inch shocks... Im sure herrmanns are great. . a guy i race with hates his herrmann stuff. in the first season he ran his quad (full herrman chassis) he snapped both upper kingpins in practice. and bent his stering stem without rolling over. Im not knocking herrman i think they are doing a great thing long travel for a cheap price. I was gonna get there stuff. But houser just seems to be the way to go.

IM not suspension specialist here, but think about it this way. When u buy 19" long travel shocks, u really arent getting a whole lot more travel. from what i hear. They have better dampning ability, but the only differance is the actual shock body is longer. U still pretty much have the same amount of shaft showing. Not unless they are changing things in the Up-travel department??And i still dont enderstand why Houser makes 16"long travel setups. I dont know about u guys, but i really dont want my shocks exposed on the bottom nless i really have too. I likes Roll setup, but it is too much $. But i did get a chance to buy a brand new Roll for my 400 this weekend at St. Clairsville GNCC, and i LOVED how beefy the thing was. Becuase i just put a new Janssen Racing swingarm on mine, and during the race i snapped off one of the skidplate mounts!! :grr But oh well, Shiznit happens when your racing i guess.

Oh by the way, Herrmann Addressed that problem, and suposedly have it under control. Havent heard anyone complaining about any of his new stuff AT ALL!!

I just think John Houser's stuff is overpriced. For instance, his +3 long travel setup uses a male studded ball joint on the top and that can, and will break or bend. He uses a convention sperical race ball joint, but at least it doesnt have a stud. How much? Arent they around 720$

I paid 600$ for my a-arms with NO male studded ball joints that will break or bend. I think I made the right choice. And notice how he welds a bottom shock mount lower in the arm? He does that because he is not crafted enough, nor care enough to take the time to build a jig to bend them like Herrman, the Lobo's, or the Walshes for an ultimate handling ride. He has however, marketing well.

MXBubs, but Laeger's also makes there a-arms with them shock mounts at the bottom.....and everyone runs Laegers,so I am sure its a good proven way to do it......

King Pins are better then Ball Joints. Roll, Walsh, and Herrmann use the King Pins.

i belive merrell runs the kingpins to, i would deff consider his, u will need new brake lines, and if u race, new rims cause all he makes anymore is +4 arms, so u will need offests to bring it back to 50in

Yeah that Merrell stuff might be good if u are a MXer. The only thing they hav elisted there for XC and woods riding is +2+1. And sorry, but thats a little too wide fo rmy taste, along with alot of other riders! +1 is even getting iffy!! Ill stick with Herrmann or Houser
