I'm a little more Northeast of you in Pike County, and having a hard time finding places to ride. Paragon gets old, and it's a two hour ride.

I live in McAdoo and we ride in Freeland / Eckley quite often. I agree, there is MUCH better riding outside of Paragon.

I live in Hershey and ride Tower City and R. creek. I rode Blackwood years ago. Is it closed? Where else do you ride? I am familliar with the area around Frackville/Tower City. We ride almost every weekend (LT-R, 450r's and YFZ). I just bought a 2006 30' Fleetwood trailer to go to places such as Hat./McCoy and Somerset for the Quadfest!

Yeah, Paragon is open on the weekends for now. We also ride almost every Sunday (TRX450R, LT-R 450). I was really hoping to ride on Sunday 03/18 but not if we get the snow they are calling for.

Yea, PARAGON is currently lookin for land in the area to put the park on,. It does look like we're gettin that snow...:ermm:, but it is supposed to warm up the next week again....Hopefully.

We got around 14 inches here! Went out last night 2 sports and 2 4 wheels drives. Powdery snow is the best for siding in. We rode from 6:30 until 1 a.m. It is so awesome to be able to rip around and not get stuck in this stuff. It is probably right next to riding in the sand! I guess! LOL But we had a blast. Get a good set of mud type tires and get rolling. Sports can go anywhere in it!

Tobias
03-18-2007, 01:43 PM
We got about 14" also, its supposed to be near 60° by the weekend tho. I'm ready for spring now!

How did you get around in this with a sport quad? We tried going out on Fri. night but got stuck every couple feet. What brand and size tires are you running? I was running 20" Kenda Knarlys.

In PA I found to drop a tooth on the front sprocket and go to 23 inch tires on the front and 22 inch on the back! Clearance is everything! I have 12 sets of rear tires on rims. "I have a bad tire addiction!" LOL I had 22 inch Super Swamper TSL ATV tires on Friday night. My friend had a Raptor with 22 inch Gators and there worked fine too! The snow was like powder here. The best for riding in with a sport if ya asked me. We were blasting thru 4 foot drifts without a problem! It also helps that I have been riding 2 wheel drive quads since 85!

peppygozinya

23" front and 22" rear would definately help. This is the first snow of this year that we couldn't ride in so I don't think I will get dedicated snow tires.

Wicked, have you ever ridden where we go? If not PM me and we'll meet up one weekend.....sick riding.
The coal turns your white machine BLACK. Very tough to clean, the dirtier the better, means you rode hard!

WickedQuad

No I havent been up to Ashland or many other places.

This is more of a new bug to replace the drag racing bug...actually the ATVs are more fun. but I won't admit that unless tortured.

I don't have a truck to haul things yet... but when I do and perhaps when I get something with a bit more horsepower I'll catch up.

Not sure you want to wait on a 250 lol

When we ride, no one gets left behind and if there are slower people in the group we all respect that....trust me, there are all types of riders I ride with. There are younger kids who ride fast, older guys who ride slow and everything in between. Let me know if you want to make the trek.....the more riders the better. On our New Years ride we had about 35 machines.....broad range of machines and skills.

I'm from the Grantville area close to Hershey, Pa:

I have rode at the following places:

Minersville Area = About 35 minites away
Trevorton Area = About 50 minites away
The above 2 are on Reading Anthracites Land

Tower City = About 20 minites away

Barrymaxx

Theres a state gameland trails there. Just down the road from poconoe I beleive. Trails are ok, but rocky. Can be fun for a day.

Eviltanker

The park is called Dixon Miller. It's 1 mile south of Pocono raceway. I go there cuz my wife likes to ride there. It is rocky till you get up on the fire roads though.
