Hello all my name is john and im new to here .....i have a quick question ...i am new to R`s i just bought my first one
86 Trx 250 R
.20 over
FMF pipe and silencer
mild port job
balanced and blueprinted motor

what fluids do you recommend for my bike....i dont want to use factory recommended fluids becuase i has some work done to it ....i mix fuel with amsoil and 94 octane at 32 to 1 that seems to be fine but im not sure of trans , coolant, etc .. sorry to sound like a newbie but i want my bike to last .. ..thanks

you should check your compression on your engine... over 180psi and you should start runnin race fuel...
32:1 is a good/popular ratio to mix with

I use Belray gearsaver oil

Coolant.... Engine Ice

I use Bel-Ray Gearsaver for tranny too.

32:1 for me and a lot of us, and your oil sounds good to run.

ok sounds good ... thanks .... i wil check my compression to see if i need to run race fuel .... thanks for the help ...

clutch22 who makes engine ice?......

anybody run a platinum procurcuit pipe and s/s silencer?...i dont like my FMF and i was thinkin about this pipe... if not any suggestions ?

I run my amsoil at 100 to 1 with 112oct from sunoco. never melted a piston and at every tare down the crank had plenty of oil on it. I raced this R at every GNCC for 5 years, no seizing. as for your other fluids you don't need high $ antifreez. Prestone mixed w/ distilled water@50/50. works well. tranny oil I used castrol10w40, but I changed it every race. use your own judgement. good luck and enjoy that powerband
