For all of you 440 ex enthusiasts...how much would it cost for my local honda deal to install new clutch, and put the 440 bore kit in my 400ex...If anyone has had this done, let me know plz

A good running 440 will cost some good coin. Just slapping in a 440 cylinder and piston will give you gains, but its a combination of things to give you the power. Compression is one area, but that is with your 440kit, cams, exhaust, porting, carb, it all adds up. Also dont forget if going over 11:1 I would put in a heavy duty rod, and get the heavy duty head studs installed.

I always suggest a 416 over a 440...

faster reving with equivalent hp without having to resleeve...

Will I have to have mine taken to the shop and machined out...or will a 416 piston fit in there

a bigger piston will not fit in the same size hole.. the cylinder needs to be bored to fit the bigger piston.
