so, i wanna improve from stock but b/c of the money thing shocks with ressies are pretty much out of the question, unless they're like 450r or YFZ shocks. should i go with the floats or the 450r/YFZ shocks? thanx!

Floats are going to be way better then a stock yfz or trx shock.

Nice bike Alin when i first built that quad in the pic above i had elkas all around worked great then fox sent me them shocks and was very impressed i weigh 128 pounds sold bike to glamis he weighs twice what i do increased air pressure and he is happier then ever.Drag racing the quad i decreased pressure and when i wanted to rip the dunes and whoops added a few pounds those shocks are the best bang for the old mighty dollor order yours today.

Ive been getting mixed reports on these shocks...

one rider tells me they are the greatest, then another tells me he is tired of blowing seals and waiting for fox to fix them.

depend what you do with them, for dunes the heat will get the best of them! for mx you would be better on stock my .02 they are junk

What you talkin' about Willis? I weight 230 and I pound the whoops HARD with that quad. I air them to 60 lbs and call it good.
What "heat" issue are you referring to?

:ermm: i hate it when i get good and bad replies, makes it a really hard choice. i guess i should be fine since i only weigh 140 pounds?

I've had Fox Floats since October of '05. I've NEVER had a problem with them. I mostly ride trails though, but do occasional Rec MX (Raptor isn't exactly an MX atv.):D

I'd buy another set in a heart beat. They've never even lost a lb of pair, even during the cold winter months. I'm 185 lbs and I run my floats at 90 psi with the extended arms and they feel great with the rear elka race shock. With the stock arms I ran the stock 50psi that the shocks came with, and they've always felt great.

I love my evols, I'm sure regular floats would be great on a trail/play quad.
