View Full Version : 28MM carb slower than stock..

okay any help would be great i have a 2001 yamaha blaster i just put a 28MM pwk keihin carb on it i also have FMF fatty gold series exhaust with fmf silencer boyesson rad vavle, no air lid k&n air filter and thats all that matter with jetting... but my statment is my stock carb was faster than my new one my friend has a 400ex and i beat it by like 5 bike lentghs i put the new 28MM carb on here and i got beat by 3 lenghts the new carb has a 135 main jet in it i so i know its not running rich so anyone have any idea on whats going on...

hey man you gotta give people time to respond... im guessin the jetting is off on the 28 pwk carb. also you might not be exactly the same distance apart everytime depending on conditions. ( traction, rider ability, etc.)

my geuss is your jetting is off, you cant just bolt on a carb and go
