I run Maxima MTL Racing 80wt.

So far so good, as I just changed it and have one race on it, no slippage......

lets wonder here everyone.
twin sump system... why put engine or anything else than a spec. oil in the tranny.
hp honda oil is made for tranny spec only. im sure there other oils that are aswell but just mentioning it

for one thing honda recommends (in tranny side) either the honda tranny lube or there 10w40 but i like running amsoil 10w40 because if it is cold out the honda tranny fluid is alot thick and doesnt get to the parts that need oil as quick. but i think either is good as long as u change often.

On the other side of the bike, by the shift lever, tucked behind it towards the lower part of the case. I believe it was a 14 mm.

I used to run klotz synthetic 10-40 on both sides, then mad the switch to the honda red bottle gear oil, and found that those false neutrals are going away. It definitely helps. I will be using klotz 80W gear oil on my new rebuild now.

Well thats half right...

You can run synthetic as long as it does not contain molybdenum, which is a friction modifier and bad for clutch plates... I would suggest you run a good synthetic designed for wet clutch systems...if your not going to run the gear oil. Nearly every offroad oil company sells some sort of an engine oil that is synthetic and wet clutch safe.
