I am buying my wife a new 400. I am going to the dealer tomorrow. I called today and they said they would let me take it home if i cut a check for 5700. Is that a good price? If not what should i talk them down to????????

I Seriously doubt $4899 was the "out the door" price. Perhaps that was a left over 2006 on the floor they want to get rid of.

I was quoted $5,399 for mine when I bought it new. It ended up costing another $600.00 for all the additional fees before I got it out the door. $5,700 is a good price if you ask me.

Thats pretty close for an 07. In the Sacramento area, dealers still have 05's and 06's that are going for 4,900 - 5,000 otd.

you're paying in full....you can talk them down.

For 5700 i could have gotten a 450r.

The guy at the honda place told me to put my atv as use for a farm or ranch and i would be waived of having to pay the fees.

I wouldnt think 5700 is a low price. Did you talk him down at all?

I bought it out of state so I wouldn't have to pay taxes on it ..... I got an 2005 leftover in 2006 for $4800 OTD. No taxes, setup fees, etc .....

I appreciate all the advise. I finally got them down to $5200, not as low as some of you, but it was alright. Well here it is...

Yea i saw an 07 in person the other day with those colors, i like the black on red, I wish they would add 450r-like shocks or something for an upgrade. Kind of like how the z400 got better shocks in 05... But you'll have fun with it, hard to believe I bought my 05 back in dec of 04, doesn't seem this long, and has ran strong since day one...
