kick starter

does anyone know if there is a kick start for a 400exand where can i get one.. also is a yz426f big bore like the one the racers use better in power than a 416 thanks

If you want kick start you need to get a whole different side case from a xr400 i think. but then you loose the electric starter.

that whole XR400 side case and all that is a lot of work and a lot of money. It wouldnt be worth it and y would u want a kickstarter?

Yeah I don't know why you would want a kick 400ex. After having a lt250r and watching my friends try to kick over their quads on cold days I'm glad I got the e start. I'll never go back. Just my .02

Like everyone else said. Don't bother wiht this mod. All it does it make you oay money for somthing that makes life harder for you. I love going to a friends house in the winter and be liek lets go and they get out their 250R and Banshee and try to kick it over for like 5-10 mins. While i am already ripping around haven fun.

Allthough, if you realy wanted to gain a reliable kickstarter,
the CRF450 motor has one, and happenes to have double the HP of a stock 400ex motor,

dont expect getting ahold of one of these engines to be cheap, or easy depending on HOW you want to do it, but in the end, if you realy want hp and want to gain a kickstart like me, its a good goal.

personaly i hate the idea of having a battery start only, being out in the middle of glamis, you mess up your bike conks, and it wont start, WTF do you do ? ride off with your buddy, and hope to god that no one hauls your bike off in a baja truck while your scrambling to the glamis beach store to get another battery?

Ill sit there and kick my bike forever, if thats what it takes. ill be going home with it.
