My question for the day is . Will 05 450r shocks fit my 01 400ex?

yes why wouldn't they work just like any other year combo?

yes they will work, any year 450r shocks will fit on any year 400ex.

Thanks for all the help guys I read the install 450r shocks and they are installing them on all years of 400exs .

Ya they will fit. I have them on mine but you have to grind a bit off of the top of the shock so it fits the mount. When you put them up there you will see what you have to do. I did it in 5 min.

You dont have to grind them dont you can change the bolt out to a round headed bolt and face the nut upwards. I read it in the how to forums, for installing 450r shocks on a 400ex. Thanks now you know to what I didnt an hour ago.
