400ex clutch

I replaced my clutch basket because mione busted. I wasn't sure how t put it back together so I lined all the plates up and there was no tension in the handlebar lever so i offset the last plate and put it all back together. I now have good tension back in my handlebar clutch lever but i don't think it's engaging. i pull the clutch in but can't roll. do i need to adjust . PLEASE HELP i haven't been able to ride in 3 weeks. what is it????????

Did you connect the little thing on the inside of the right case to that little puller piece?

Well not sure what thingy i did connect the clutch cable to the clutch lever that goes down into the right crank case. Was there something inside i'm supposed to connect? the spring is in place
