trx450r, yfz450, 660 raptor questions, please help

i was thinking about a used 04 660 . i bought a 04 400ex last sept. after 15 years of not riding . i didnt know what to buy. it is nice but a little under powered for me i think. im kinda maxed on money right now... after looking at the blue book values, it looks like i could invest 500-800 more after i sell mine and get a 04 yfz 450 / 04 660 or a trx 450r .
i only trail ride in wi, and mn . 10ft wide sanding trails thru the woods w lots of times to open it up all the way. but some softer dirt terrain and tighter trails. to lugg quad along in first gear as well.
i heard the raptor had air filter sealing problems where there could have been a potential for dirt entering engine without owner knowing? :confused: :
i'm 6' 4" 260 lbs but will be hopefully going down to 225:blah: so i was thinking of 660 because of the extra couple of inches taller. my legs are alittle cramped on the 400ex. but i could mabey lower the pegs on the 450's. the yfz in 04 was faster than the honda:confused: but the honda is more reliable ??:ermm: i know about the tippy problems w/ the raptor . i'd put some 1" spacers on the back. i know the handling would be better on the 450's.. after raptor spacers ?:confused:

do you need reverse?if so then only one choise,raptor and you can get a wider axle for $200.00 from rocky mountain...with your size the yfz will feel small plus it has a very hard seat...trx450r is kickstart,it has reliability issues with crank bearings( my friend has this quad and has not had this problem yet) and first gear is geared high which you could buy a smaller front sprocket.

I have a raptor 660 and a honda 450r. I would suggest the 450 is has a nicer ride and is faster.

for your size and what you do, i would go with the raptor...

i wouldnt consider a 450r that wasnt at least an 06, as the 04 and 05s were dogs... plus they didnt have the bugs worked out yet either...

you'll likely feel cramped on the yfz, and it doesnt have too much bottom end for when you are putting around...

dont buy a 2001 raptor tranny problems
if you want to something to lung around in first gear dont get a yfz450, (not sure about the honda but I also think it has a high first gear)

I bought a Raptor 660 because I dindnt think that I was worthy of a 450. Sold the raptor in less than a year later and bought a yfz and started racing harescrambles now a year later I jumped up to B class and next year hopefully A.

All the quads are fast,the honda and yfz will just accellerate a bit faster than the 660.
Someone of your size the 700 raptor would be perfect for you. I understand that the 700s price may be to high so what about the predator??

If you get the raptor dont get wheel spacers, bad for handling and the quad itself if im not mistaken...
