max ground clearance a arms?

I would like to find a set of max ground clearance a arms similar to the ones Houser makes but really dont want to widen the bike too much because of racing XC. Does anyone make stock width a arms that are higher ground clearance or even just 1 inch wider?????????

The Houser max ground clearance arms for an 06-07 are only +.25 wider.

According to Houser's site, the max clearance arms use a 18.5" shock. The regular long travel arms use a 19.5" shock. Shock length has nothing to do with the amount of travel you can get, that is dependent on shaft length of the shock and leverage ratio of the arms.

true, depends on how big the shock body is vs the exterior shaft length. Leverage ratios as to whether the entire shock length is even used.

Just saying, JD performance claims more travel then houser arms, if I remember correctly, might have been another company, but fairly sure it was houser. A lot of people like them too, they look nice and I like how they are put together.

anyway, thanks for the information, wondered if the shocks were shorter on the mgc arms. Was thinking about them, but they are more expensive, and I'm a desert/ dune rat anyway.

I've never seen skid plates for aftermarket a-arms. You really don't need them as the arms hold up great. It would just keep the PC looking good.
