Is there a rear linkage that I can get that would allow the back of my 06 R to ride a little lower? I sat on one that was lower with the stock shock and it was so much smoother and felt a lot more stable doin cross country. Also is there an advantage to a different linkage???????

Most aftermarket linkages lower the ride height.
They also change the leverage ratio of the shock and swing arm for better performance/less bucking.
Also when you get the rear shock revalved you can have it setup for a custom ride height.

The 2 most popular revalving companies, they both also make their own rear links.
