Bad Coil Maybe

my coil went bad omy 86 R so i ordered a new one from service honda put it on ran fine for a couple minutes then it started spitting and poping like it was fouling a plug so i shut it off and slapped a new plug in it and tried starting it nothing. i checked the coil

Primary: 24.5ohms
secondary:7.5ohms

which is way out of spec on the primary winding
can somthing kill a coil ???

i'm alittle ticked cause it's brand new OEM honda

if i hook my multimeter to the NEG and POS wires on the coil and kick it over should i see voltage??

I tested the stator and it's good?????

Did the coil come with a new plug boot & have you checked all the connections in the wiring harness for tightness, thats where most of the problems are.
Set the plug at 0.018 as well.

it was a brand new coil and boot but i found the problem .... i took the flywheel off too find that the three stator screws hold it on were about too fall out so i tightened them and it runs like a champ

The problem lays in the stator coils...one of them is bad.
