ok i just sold my reminghton 1187 super mag semi auto and i shot 3 1/2in shells out of it and after one season of duck hunting the gun was junk. i was pissed $700 new and it needed a total rebulid so i bought the new 870 express super mag waterfowl gun pump. does anyone has this gun? if so hows it treated you so far. also will i notice any serious gains from shooting the 28in barrel fand now going to the 30in bareel?

Remington autoloaders are pure junk. They have been for years. The 870 is the only decent gun Remington makes these days.

I'm a Benelli man, myself, but the 870 should serve you well.

........I shoot a Franchi 912, hardly ever shoot any 3.5" shells through it....ever once in a while for geese but thats about it. By next year, I will have an Xtrema 2. I bought a 391 Teknys and love the fit and feel of it:

I wish I had some pics on the digital camera from our Hunts in Canada. I shoot a Browning gold 3 1/2 inch mag with a 26 inch barrel and I love it, the gun has never given me any problems at all.. My dad is shooting a Benelli super black eagle 2, and he is very pleased with it too.

I used a Rem 870 super mag all last year and was extremely happy with it. I have always shot 870's but wanted a 3 1/2 for geese. The place I hunt is really hard on equipement so I wanted a cheap pump gun and found my super mag for $270 new so it fit the bill perfectly. My family has had good luck with Remington shotguns, a few 870's, 1100's, 11-87's and even a Model 11 have all seen use over the years without complaints.

I've been using my remington 1100 for the last 8 years for turkey hunting and I've never had a single problem with it. My dad used it a LOT before I got my hands on it.

ya my dad shoots a sp10 and has had it 4 ever with no problems i use the 1187 super mag semi auto 1 year and its junk idk maybe i just got a bad one. i hope my 870 express pump waterfowl gun is better. its full wetland camo and im pumped to see how the 30in barrel is going to treat me. i used a old old old rem 870 pump 3in shells and that thing was awesome took my deer with it this yr. then the ejector spring broke but the guns like 20 yrs old sooo but it only costed me 54 bucks to fix it

I shoot a Rem 870 Super Mag. I really like it, considering my first gun was a Rem 870 Mag 20 ga. I shoot 3 1/2 in. shells through it anytime I waterfowl hunt. I really don't do that much waterfowl hunting, but I have been pleased with it. I have a black synthetic, and my dad liked it so much he went and bought one just like it, only camo.
