hey, i was wondering why whenever i hook up my guage to my evol chamber, i can pump it up to 150 and when i stop pumping, i can see it slowly go down. and if i pump it up to liek 155 and take it off as soon as it hits 150, ill hook it back up again, and it will be like 140ish or even lower. i have no clue why it does this, does anyone know? Thanks alot

Make sure you have the shreader valve hose connector screwed on all the way and its not leaking. I had this problem one time also. As far as the issue of removing it and hooking it back up and you see a lose in pressure is because the hose needs to be filled back up with air thus lowering the pressure in the evol chamber.

Dumb question, are you raising your front end of the ground while doing this??

yes i am. its raised about 5inches atleast off the ground. the valves are screwed on all the way, and when i screw em on, the pressure goes up as far as it goes, then ill pump it up to wherever i want it, and ill watch it slowly go back down.

Can you hear air leaking anywere? Do you think its internal or external? How much time do you have in these shocks?

no i cant hear air leaking. i couldnt even tell u if its internal or external. and theres maybe 10-15hrs on the shocks. only like 5-10hrs hard racing though

Maybe time to call Fox about it, i'm sure they would know what is going on best.

Let us know what you find.

The reason it drops when you hook up the gauge is because you are using some of the vollume of the air to fill the gauge to get a reading this is the same reason you can't check nitrogen pressure in a shock

dirt in the valve..?
it happens on my fox shock on my mountain bike...but it only happens with the pump on..not a problem for me really :)

i went and would pump it up to 150 and put it back on and its at 130psi. i know it takes 20psi to fill up the hose, so i guess its all good!
