..in firts place excuse me if this question has been exposed already :(

in this moment, i´m reading the rulesbook of AMA ATV MX and in the point 1.4 f it sais:

Bore & Stroke must remain as the production model.

it is true?

it´s new for this year?

i thought that riders could modificate and incrase the bore and stroke of their quads

Doug Gust won tha championship (i think.. ) with a 450cc Z400, Natalie with a 470cc Sparks 450r etc..

wich is the reason of this new rule?

i like to see "stock" quads at the races, but i really like too to see fast quads out there :ermm:

thank you guys and excuse me for possible mistakes with the English i had could make..

Natalie never had a 470, if he did, the title should be stripped. The pro class the limit for discplacement has been 450cc for years now.

Yes but gust and jones ran z450's and those were not production. Limit has always been 450. This must be a new rule. It's probably to get everyone on a new shiny 450 now that all the manufacturers have one out.

..i thought that Natalie when wan the Championship he runs withs a 470cc Sparks big bore kit

sorry for the mistake :(

here in Spain the Q1 category (top of the MX categories) is open, and you can run with a 480cc 450 for example

yupp, it was 450cc, but now that all the top brands have 450 race quads in the line-up, there is no need to bore. therefore the bore should be left at what the manufacturers make them
