250x mods

i just got a 250x. i had a pretty beefy 300ex til someone wrecked it.

i have a uni airfilter and slip on cobra exhaust. i know i am buying a new pipe.

what are good mods i can do? bigger carb, valves, port and plish?

someone give me a good order to go in.

Any of the mods you did to your 300EX you can do to the 250X.

I'd start with a top end rebuild, using a high compression piston(stock or big bore) and high lift cam with hard-weld rockers and HD springs.

If you have money left next would be a port and polish job on your head, with OS valves if you want to spend even more. At least, lap the valves and make sure they seal well.

When your engine is modded enough go with a, correctly jetted, 400EX carb.

But before any of this, do get a good FULL exhaust system.
