I am needing some info on why i cant get my idle to slow down. I am running 42pj, 192mj, and the needle 3rd clip form the top. I know it sound lean but im running 100 low lead. Iv tried my idle air screw anywhere form 1- 3 turns out. When it does idle right it sputters mid throttle. Can someone please help

High or "hanging" idles are often caused by an intake air leak.

That wouldn't cause your problem.

GPracer2500 is talking about after the carb(GPracer2500 correct me if im wrong, not trying to put words in your mouth) The intake manifold is sometimes a source for the leak. Where the carb goes into the manifold, the manifold itself, and where the manifold connects to the cylinder. Some people say to spray wd-40 around a suspected leak area to find out if its leaking. I have never tried that. Do a search of "air leak". Many topics.

if u have and starter flued, carb clean, wd-40 and spray it around both intake boots wear they meet the carb and see if the idle changes if it does then it means you have a leak and thas prolly ur problem.

When you say "idle air screw ", what screw are you talking about?

Did you make sure your slide is all the way down, when idling? When you turn your bars, does the idle vary? The idle screw is the one with cable attached to it, is that the one your adjusting? Or you adjusting the pilot jet screw on the bottom of the carb?
