View Full Version : gear cse oil in 250ex

so just got some gear case oil at teh honda shop and the book calls for sae 80 hypoid oil, and i got the sae 80w90 hypoid oil. Is this the right gear case oil? Does anyone have any tips on changing the rear end oil?

I run Amsoil gear oil now but the honda stuff i ran came in a black bottle.

there is nothing to changing the oil. use new crush washers, and only fill it until it comes out of the overflow.

so just drain it, and fill it up. and what is a crush washer, never heard of them?

its a soft washer that (crushes) to seal oil in i wouldnt do the just fill it technique look in ur manual and get a cookin measuring cup and dump it in from that
