Shortened nose 400?

Has anyone shortened the nose on the 400 and have pictures? I don't know if I will like it or not, I don't like the long nose. I did a search and found one picture.

I cut a good 3" off of my nose when I installed my hood.

My quad doesn't look even close to as shiny as it did in that pic. I took that pic a year ago before i started racing. Now it is scratched and faded. I'm going to rebuild it soon, I'll be posting pics of the rebuild as I go.

I shortened the nose on my 400 for the same reason, I didn't like the way it looked. It's better now.
