Painting AC 6 pack rack

Anyone have any tips on painting an AC 6-Pack Rack. I know I should PC it, but I want to see how it looks black before I do that. Is there any prep work I should do first, or just get a can of black paint and go at it?

hey, if you insist on painting i would wipe it down with mineral spirits or some type of metal cleaner,then spray a thin coat at a time, and maybe put on a coat of clear

but you should just send it to pappy cuse paint just dont hold up like powder coat
