you got it Bill. It's really not that bad in the summer if your looking for a place to go for a few hours.

Don't bother riding there in the winter unless your into mud bogs.

Living on post you should give the midsouth's a try. It's alot of fun and you get to ride with 100 people on at a different place every few weeks.

Most of them are withen an hour of Ft Campbell.

Man I raced a bone stock 400ex for two years...(just bought a 450 a few months ago) It isn't about how good you do. You would be surprised at how many people show up just for the trail ride. It's a two hour trail ride and you don't have to worry about anything.

OH..did I mention I actually won several races on my stock 400ex.

Bill and some of his buddies talked me into it several years ago and I've been hooked ever since.

Come to Vanleer next weekend and give it a try. There is a class for just about any skill level. For your first harescramble it's not about winning it's about finishing and challenging yourself. The one thing I love about XC racing as compared to trail riding with my buddies is that in a race you can't say "No way I'm trying that!!" You'll be suprised what you can do,even on a stock quad. I have been passed by the best of 'em and it don't matter what you ride it's 95% rider in XC.

They say that a kill switch is required but they don't have a tech inspection so you will be fine. Helmet, goggles and boots are all taht is required. Boots don't need to be MX boots,as long as they come over the ankle even combat boots will be OK.Gate entry is $5 a person and to race I believe $30. You will need to sign up for ATVA at the race and I think thats around $40. The member ship is good for a year and membership allows you to race any ATVA sanctioned event (including GNCC races) Loretta's is at the end of April.

hmm ok so like 40 to enter and race including gate fee of 5..and then another 40 to join the ATVA..is that like the AMA? might be a stupid question :) thanks though man! I might definately come out then, if they wont check for kill switches

Yeah...atva and ama are the same group. The only difference is the magazine you get with your membership.

Don't worry about the kill cord. I have seen people get cought and all I've ever seen them do is tell them to get one next time.

Look us up...usually we get there early but I'm going to the OMA race on Saturday and want be getting in till late.

I will be drving a red chevy one ton pulling a white enclosed trailor with an smr license plate and a #12 on the door. I usually park behind the barn in the field.
