real 440kit on a 400ex?

There is a local guy selling a 400ex which he says it has a 440kit on it, but it has 152 jets with stock filter box and filter,stock pipe with just a slip on. He didnt know what piston it had in it either.

now is he just lieing or could it be the truth? I dont want to waste a 2 hour drive to find out...

I have a friend who has a 400 that is completely stock, except his 440 kit. You don't have to have any aftermarket pieces to put in a 440 kit, although they do wake the beast up.

Ask for receipts of the kit and the machine shop that installed the sleeve. ;)

yep I have the stock pipe on mine. I also however have the receipt for the motor work.

i'd ask to see the box the piston came in or the stock piston...
