I've ridden bolth, 400ex hands down , no competition, the 400ex is a better quad for everything but going backwards, i like the 400ex so much more.

I have a Warrior for the wife to ride or when I just want to ride in the woods & trails and take it easy. The Banshee is for the fun stuff - DUNES and going fast.

I think the 400ex missed the boat by not having reverse - a lot of people like the reverse more than the extra performance.

yes i would have liked to have a 400ex instead but when i got my warrior i didnt know anything and was just learning how to shift n ride a quad ( i had a polaris trailblzr before that and u cant call that a quad) and it was a great stepping stone for me and it isnt all that shabby, ive beaten plenty of people aat the mx track on 400's just becuase its 95% rider.
reverse is nice for me because i was learnin to ride it n would crash into shiznit all the time haha but actually! u ccan get a used 400ex like a 2001 for cheaper than a used warrior!
im about to sell my warrior for 4350

i would rather have a 400ex over a warrior. but just the same i would rather have a warrior over a 300ex.
i'm a pretty big (((6'2,,230lb))) so a 300ex feels way under powered for me. i feel more at easy on a warrior or 400ex,,,my brother's 400ex feels just right for i also like a raptor but i think a 400 feels best of all.
but i have always wanted to take a warrior and build it to beat a 400ex with a team alba 400 stroker or a fst 446 kit....and some after market a-arms and swing arm...
i think a 400 warrior would run with if not beat a 400ex...my brothers warrior he had was beating stock 400ex's in a drag race. but a 400ex like the he has know with a few extras would blow it in the creek,,,but his warrior only had pipe and filter and was geared 2 teeth down...
but i think all comes down to size,,,the bigger boys are going to find the warrior and 400ex more powerful and more stable,,,,the smaller guy will find the warriors to stiff and rough riding.

it is not stroked..it is bored to 450cc and has a port and polish. I live in central Illinois. all the engine work was done by a professional. It runs on regular gas but sometimes we use race...as of maintence it takes a little more than a 400ex. I might be able to travel 100 miles and meet you. and furthur questions just ask....

the warrior is a good trail riding quad and it is dependable but I would rather have a 400EX.

I almost bought a warrior over my 400, but didn't. I'm glad I did, I rode a warrior the other day and I just didn't feel as comforable and I like the power and handling a lot better. Both good bikes though.
