That Pro-x top end is an old model casting, one of some of the first casting sold by LA Sleeve.
Its hard to beleave that thing has been sitting around all these years, havent been in production in over 6 years I know.

Well i sort of know the bloke who is selling it and he has sheds full of 250r parts so its quit likely that it is unused an i could prob get it a bit cheaper
but i was more concerned whether it would work ok with my current carb and hopeful new pipe and if the la sleeve set up is any good or if i should keep saving and get a esr or a paul turner

cheers F S D

Being a 310 cylinder & if its not been ported a great deal it might be ok.
Those old cylinders when ported heavlly & specially if the Boysene ports were opened up a great deal, it would weaken the area around the reed chamber & the rear cylinder mount & with compression & vibs, end up cracking.

With the stuff you already have though, it should perform right well. Just keep a check on the casting around the sides.

fsd , i remember speaking to tony , he had bought one of these and it turned out to be porous and basically junk , it was swapped out . i would'nt mind betting this is the replacement he got . that paul turner race your selling will work fine with that 300 i'd think .
