master link help

[red2004 TRX450R]

I just got my DID x ring Atv chain and I have a question about the master link.

I though i would get good rivet type ZJ link and it came with the Clip type FJ link.

Do they make a Rivet type master link for this chain, because that is what DID recommends.


do most people just run the clip type?

That chain comes with the clip style master link. We have been using them for a long time without any problems

It's a clip style.. but the plate is still a press fit. You press on the plate.. then clip it. It's pretty strong. The strength comes form the plate and pin fitment. The Clip only keeps the pin from backing out.
