Good news for ER owners!!!!!New starter clutch upgrade

I took my bike in to get the a-arms put on and new starter parts. The mechanic told me a rep was there to tell them about the new starter clutch that is in production. They said it is gonna solve the problems. Thats all I know. I don't know when it will be availible. they asked me how anxious I was to get it back so Im thinkin it might be a little while.

i had mine replaced about 6 months ago, the honda dealer put a starter clutch with a different part number in. hondas mechanic bulletin called "the wrench" or something like that, had an article about it and gave a new part number. since i got it replaced i have had zero problems. i will see if i can dig up the part number.

Yeah let me know i havent heard anything yet!!Mine is a little bit noisey but i can wait till the new parts:rolleyes: supposedly come out.This would make too much sense!!!

i didnt find a wrench report.... and cant see how a new part will help.... there no back torque limiter... this is the culprit.
