416 started knocking and losing power

I was riding my 416ex and i usually pulls away from my buddies 700 raptor and had been all day. Later that day we went back out and took off and when i hit 5th it just started bogging down and cutting out. Then it started to knock, sounded like in the bottom end or at the base of the jug, but it doesn't knock constantly more like every other revolution. So mad leaving for little sahara in two weeks!:mad:

usually when its a bottom end knocking its the crank, so you crank bearings might be shot,

but that really wouldnt explain the bogging out in 5th
hopefull some 1 else will jump in here

could be a coincindence that it just happened to blow up in 5th.

knockin could be either teh crank, or the piston. either way you are lookin at a tear down.

Was it just really hot? Maybe you are running it a little lean and it overheated and started knocking from predetonation. My 416 will start doing that when I run it hard at the dunes. Throw some race gas in there and richen up the mixture, and see if the problem goes away.
