Ahhh.....gold!!!

Hey i just put on my rossier exhuast on my 06 450r yesterday ....and i took it for a ride to day and after i was all done i noticed that the pipe turned a goldish color...i thought it might go away after it cooled...but it didnt....so its like a goldish color!!!!!!!!! Has anyone else experienced this???? What do i need to do to get ride of it???? Please help!!!!

you need to rejet and you header will stay that color. some headers do turn blue though.

I did rejet!!!!!!!! It was a 160 main....hrc needle 4th clip....48pilot...and 1 1/2 turns out on the fuel screw!!!

I thought that the jets should be bigger but they arn't!!!!

ya...but dont you think that i should go up to like a 180 main...cause all my friends run like 180's and 185's in there bikes with dasa and curtis sparks exhaust!!!!!!!!!! I dont like the gold color!!!! Im going to call rossier tomarrow and see what they say...cause i think the jetting is too small...and if that was the problem i am going to have him send me a new pipe...cause that was his fault that he gave me the wrong size jets!!!!!

if they do give you a new pipe and get to keep your other sell it on ebay and says its limited edition gold and sell it for 600 bucks

Mine did the same......if you can find some pics of Chad502EX's 450 with the Rossier on it, it is the same color......They should not be blue they should be the goldish color. if they are blue they are lean.....Chad said if they are jetted right they should be goldish colored.....I believe that chads would be jetted correctly. That guy knows his stuff

Joe will tell you that you are looking for it to turn a nice golden color. It is jetted right if you have it a consistant golden color.

Gold is good. That means its jetted right.

160 main seems a little small.... i have the same pipe and when i called rossier he told me to put the hrc kit in and thats a 185 main and hrc needle and i put a 50 pilot in and turned the air fuel screw 2 turns out....

With a 160, he probably has the air box lid on.

hrc kit main jet is a 162 not a 185---

No...I have pro design (kn'n) air kit w/ air box lid off!!!!!!!!!

Sounds like everyone is getting confused!!Read it he has an 06 a 165 would be plenty!!!04/05's would be jetted a lot fatter they have a different carb!!:devil:
