I was thinking, some utility quads have gas gauges. right below the gas cap, would it be possible to put one of those on a 400ex? i think all you would have to do is drill a hole in the tank and put the gauge on the tank cover. only problem is you would need to seal the hole REALLY well right?

i dont think i would even do this.. just curious

yea it would look like s*** but it could be done, maybe even take like the assembly off like a riding mower, the guage and the float and everything, but id rather just look down the tank

Wonder what snowmobile gas caps would work on the 400ex and Z400? They have the float and guage on them.
