which machine would you rather have for trail riding, some street riding in the winter, and some small sand pit riding. the two machines that i found were a 04 troy lee pred or a 04 450r or yfz the 450 is a little bit higher priced, which one would you rather have?

Did you use calculus to figure that out? Because I don't understand your math. ;)

Fair enough... But why did you shoot down the Predator?

Pred = no
Honda= yes
Yamaha = yes

you will love the extra power on the 450's and you can always take em to a track and love the power i have a 450r and it rips up the woods its great i love it <3

i think that the pred is more of a trail user quad more than a 450

well if ur big u might want to check out the predator, but im a pretty big guy 6'2'' and i love my yfz. its great having all the power, but i feel its not as comfortable for casual trail riding as say a z400.

Did any of you even ride a predator before? They're great for dunes, pits, some trails, freestyle and sometimes the track (if you know how to ride)! You shouldn't have a fear of flipping over becuase stock they come with such low ground clearence and are heavier than most quads, like the 400, by what...30...40 pounds?

preds are okay...i try to stay away from polaris tho till they get a awsome rep like all the other companys ...polaris doesn't have the nest reputation for reliability and craftsmanship

IMO buy a 450...the pred feels like I am driving a armored tank.

But the only way to tell is ride both machines and make a educated guess

I would get at least an '04 predator if your gunna go that route. They had some tranny problems in '03, but can be fixed with the update kit. I like my Pred alot, and the only thing I would have done differently is maybe buy an '05 or newer since they added reverse.

Nevermind, dont get the pred. 03s where like bombs.
